Community support forum
Ask, read, support
You do not have to work it all out alone.
This is a place for families, partners and friends affected by someone else’s drinking. You can ask a question, read other people’s experiences, or offer gentle support if you feel able to.
You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Please avoid using full names, addresses or details that could identify someone.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For urgent medical advice in Scotland, call NHS 24 on 111.
What you can ask about
You can use this forum for questions like:
- I am worried about someone’s drinking
- I do not know what to say or do
- I need help with boundaries
- The drinking is affecting family life
- I am exhausted, anxious or overwhelmed
Before you post
This is peer support, not emergency help or professional medical advice. Replies may come from people with lived experience, so please be kind and respectful.
