Sunday Sunday
Sundays are often said to be a day of rest. For anyone living with alcohol abuse it can be a day of regret and apology. Weekends were always the traditional drinking times with many getting paid weekly and Friday the day to enjoy the benefits of a hard job well done. Sunday was the time to nurse a hangover maybe and set things right that may have gone wrong when in the throes of a wild drinking session.
Try to make Sunday a special day for yourself. Take some time to relax and if you can get outside for some air. If you are heading out to visit family (granny's house was always a Sunday favourite), make sure you are not listening to judgements, opinions from others who don't know the full story. It can be trying and while your family want to look after you, they also like to express their opinions in the hope it will somehow make a difference etc.
Try not to let it spoil your day. Just keep telling yourself, you are not the problem and are doing your best with everything you have to deal with. 💐
